Stay at The Coach House
The Coach House Norbury is a modern country inn offering superior bed & breakfast, dinner and drinks. Our friendly team are dedicated to quality food & drink and making sure you have the best time possible when you are with us.
Situated in the idyllic conservation village of Norbury in the South Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Coach House is nestled between the brooding heathland of the Long Mynd and the towering tors of the Stiperstones ridge. Just 4 miles from quirky Bishops Castle and 17 miles from both market towns Ludlow and Shrewsbury.
If eating is your top priority then you have come to the right place. Chef Harry Bullock has skills and experience which far outstrip his years. His modern British food tastes incredible and is deftly presented. Once a month on a Wednesday he serves a limited menu of pub classics with the emphasis on great value, stunningly flavoured dishes. Bookings are essential for our regular Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings in the restaurant. We hold occasional seasonal tasting menu nights throughout the year.
If you are more interested in a drink then pull up a chair next to one of our log burners and relax with a local draught ale or a glass of wine from a carefully curated wine list. If you would like something stronger then Alice would be happy to mix you a cocktail or you can choose from a dizzying array of single malt Scotch or other fine spirits.
If you’d like a room at the Inn, we have 7 luxury bedrooms. 5 are ensuite & one has a dedicated private bathroom which has an enormous roll top bath and views to the Long Mynd. We also have a brand new luxury suite in the attic complete with its own living room with amazing views and a brand new luxury bathroom. All rooms have luxurious beds and bedding to guarantee a great nights sleep. Rooms are equipped with flat screen TV’s, tea and coffee making facilities & organic toiletries. We have free on-site car parking and free wi-fi internet access
We love Shropshire, it’s a veritable playground for walkers, cyclists and photographers and is perfect for a romantic break. The Shropshire Way passes within one mile of Norbury and there are a multitude of walks for all levels available from the front door.
We hope to see you soon.

Dining at The Coach House
Our food is homemade and we work hard to source local, seasonal ingredients with a focus on the regions artisanal producers. We are members of the Real Bread Campaign & bake fresh sourdough and levain breads daily.
We serve a lavish breakfast highlighting some of Shropshire's finest ingredients. We hold both the Visit England & the AA Breakfast Award, as well as a GOLD Award from the AA for our restaurant with rooms. We are also very proud to hold 2 AA rosettes for culinary excellence.
We recently went into partnership with local chef Harry Bullock. He is Shropshire born and bred and rightly proud of his county and its produce. His beautiful food is fresh & modern & always packed with flavour. He has worked in some of Shropshires finest restaurants and at only 20 years old is very excited to be commanding his own kitchen.
Our restaurant is open to everyone. On Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday we serve a locally sourced, seasonal restaurant menu.
In addition, on the first Wednesday of every month we hold our popular pub night where we supplement our offering with a limited, casual bar menu.
Meals are served from 6:30PM to 8:30. Please phone or email to book a table. Bookings are essential.
