Ironbridge Gorge Brass Band Festival, Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July

The popular Ironbridge Gorge Brass Band Festival will take place over the weekend of 11th and 12th July outdoors on The Green at the Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron. Now in its 11th year, this free family event showcases some of the finest brass bands from Shropshire and the surrounding counties. With some 20 bands performing, it’s the largest, non-competitive brass band festival in the country.

Join our Parks, Garden’s and Countryside Manager, Pete Carty, this Sunday, who will teach you how to identify each bird from its song on this early morning walk around Dudmaston Estate. RAF Museum Highly Commended at 2015 Museums and Heritage Awards

The RAF Museum is proud to announce that its exhibition 'Pilots of the Caribbean: Volunteers of African Heritage in the RAF' was given a Highly Commended Award in the 'Best Temporary Exhibition' category at the Museums and Heritage Awards 2015 held in London on 29th April. The exhibition is currently on display at the Museum's Cosford site in Shropshire until 31st October 2015.

Carl Fogarty and Richard Hammond lead ride out raising £45,000 for charity

Bikers from across the country turned out in their thousands at the weekend, as they took part in one of the largest biking events in the country - the Bike4Life Ride Out and Festival (26 April 2015), raising money for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

Organisers are gearing up for this weekend's big biker event

This weekend, thousands of bikers will gather in the Midlands for one of the biggest biking events in the country. Taking place on Sunday 26 April the Bike4Life Ride Out and Festival has attracted riders from across the UK as far as Aberdeen and even some international riders from the likes of Frankfurt and Illinois in the USA, all signed up to be part of the day.
