Bury Ditches Guided Walk, an Irresistible Offa Join local walks leader Simon Atherton for a guided walk to Bury Ditches Iron Age Hill Fort on Saturday 9th April 2013. This 6 mile walk starts at 10am at Clun Memorial Hall.

This is the second in the new series of extremely popular Walking with Offa guided walks, which take you offa the beaten track to see spectacular views and glimpses of history, wildlife and archaeology.

The cost for the walk and lunch at The Sun Inn, Clun is £10 (£7.50 Friends of the Shropshire Hills AONB).  Booking is essential, please call the Shropshire Hills AONB Partnership on 01588 674080, and hurry, places book up fast! 75 years on – the story behind Hampden P1344’s final flight

The Handley Page Hampden Bomber P1344 (PL-K), currently undergoing conservation at the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford will be subject of a lecture taking place on Tuesday 5 September 2017. The lecture will be presented by the Museum’s Conservation Centre Manager who has personal experience working to restore the aircraft and with former crew and family members. The evening lecture will include details of the dramatic story behind its final flight, which took place exactly 75 years earlier, plus a behind the scenes look at how the aircraft looks today!
